Genome Sequences of Amycolatopsis orientalis subsp. orientalis Strains DSM 43388 and DSM 46075
Strains of Amycolatopsis orientalis produce vancomycin or other related glycopeptide antibiotic compounds. Here we report the draft genome sequences of glycopeptide nonproducers Amycolatopsis orientalis subsp. orientalis DSM 43388 and DSM 46075. Their genome information will provide insights into the acquisition and regulation of glycopeptide antibiotic resistance genes.
متن کاملGenome Sequence of the Vancomycin-Producing Amycolatopsis orientalis subsp. orientalis Strain KCTC 9412T
Amycolatopsis orientalis is the producer of vancomycin, a glycopeptide antibiotic that is used for the treatment of serious infections with Gram-positive bacteria. Here we present the next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based 9.06-Mb draft genome sequence of the type strain Amycolatopsis orientalis subsp. orientalis KCTC 9412 (DSM 40040; ATCC 19795).
متن کاملReclassification of Amycolatopsis orientalis DSM 43387 as Amycolatopsis benzoatilytica sp. nov.
Amycolatopsis orientalis DSM 43387, a clinical isolate from submandibular mycetoma tissue, is one of three plasmid-bearing strains of the genus Amycolatopsis. It degrades aromatic compounds such as m-hydroxybenzoate, but does not produce any antibiotics, in contrast to Amycolatopsis orientalis NBRC 12806T. Phylogenetic analysis based on a complete 16S rRNA gene sequence placed the strain in the...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Norvancomycin-Producing Strain Amycolatopsis orientalis CPCC200066
Amycolatopsis orientalis CPCC200066 is an actinomycete that can produce the glycopeptide antibiotic norvancomycin, which has significant inhibitory activity against Gram-positive cocci and bacilli. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of A. orientalis CPCC200066 and identified the genes involved in norvancomycin biosynthesis.
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Type Strains Bacillus drentensis DSM 15600T and Bacillus novalis DSM 15603T
Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Bacillus drentensis DSM 15600T and Bacillus novalis DSM 15603T with 5,305,306 bp and 5,667,584 bp, respectively, which will provide useful information for the functional gene mining and application of these two species. The average DNA G+C contents were 38.91% and 40.01%, respectively.
